PHOTOGRAPHER & DIRECTOR

Born in Manila and raised in the New York area from age 14, Dennis Tejero is a photographer whose work centers on movement—across places, identities, and emotional states—capturing the tension between presence and absence. His images are stripped of excess yet heavy with intention, using light not to perfect but to reveal, holding moments in suspension where stillness hums with energy and something ineffable lingers just out of reach.

Influenced by the fractured lyricism of Max Richter’s Spring 1, Tejero approaches photography as a sensory experience, prioritizing feeling over explanation, and finding quiet beauty in the mundane. His work resists definition, instead inviting interpretation—offering not just documentation, but atmosphere; not just composition, but emotional truth. At its core, his photography is a study of presence—fleeting, fragile, and profoundly human.

Named by Vogue Italia in 2021 as one of the notable artists pushing for diversity in visual storytelling, Dennis Tejero’s personal projects have also been featured by Condé Nast Traveller, i-D, and more.
