PHOTOGRAPHER & DIRECTOR
Born in the Philippines and raised in the New Jersey from age 14, Dennis Tejero is a photographer whose work focuses on movement through places, identities, and moments. He captures the space between presence and absence with images that are minimal in form but deliberate in intent. Light is used to reveal rather than to flatter, holding moments where stillness carries weight and meaning feels just out of reach.
Influenced by the layered structure of Max Richter’s Spring 1, Tejero treats photography as a sensory process, valuing atmosphere over explanation and finding significance in the ordinary. His work invites interpretation, aiming for authenticity over perfection.
At its core, it is a study of presence in its most fleeting and human form.
Named by Vogue Italia in 2021 as one of the notable artists pushing for diversity in visual storytelling, Dennis Tejero’s personal projects have also been featured by Condé Nast Traveller, i-D, and more.
